In 2003, Guild made 50 of their top of the line D-55 acoustic guitar to commemorate their 50th anniversary. This guitar is #9 of 50 made. It is in unplayed condition with no fret wear, no pick scratches, no dings. The only flaw that I can find are 2 small lacquer cracks behind the bridge, that are barely noticeable.
Special features of this guitar include grade 4A solid Brazilian Rosewood back and sides, a solid Engelmann spruce top, Ebony fingerboard and bridge, a special abalone G-50 years inlay at the 12th fret, a gold plated engraved truss rod cover, a deluxe original hard case with a 50th anniversary plate attached, beautiful abalone inlays on the fingerboard, rosette, and headstock, and a notrocellulose lacquer finish.
This instrument is set up with D'Addario EJ-19 Bluegrass strings. It has a straight neck, nice low action, plenty of saddle height and a great neck angle. Build in Fender's custom shop in Corona, California, this is one beautiful sounding custom guitar.
